Currently writing chapter 10 of TwistedFates: For Better or Worse, and I must say, chapter 9 has to be like... one of the most depressing chapters I've written I guess D8
Well, I only got mad cuz Ramirez was slaaain D8
Some of us don't know who Ramirez is, that is until chapters 4-6 are released C:
Here's an excerpt from chapter 9. It starts in the middle of Felix and Gale's conversation, and Kuro-kun has read this already! xD
- Spoiler:
“I know. He’s due in court in 3 days, but you know Welkov’s thinking otherwise.”
“What do you think he’s planning on doing?”
“From my prior knowledge, I’d only guess that Welkov wants to kill Ramirez.”
Felix heard a soft gasp on the other line. “Tell him it’ll be okay; he’ll survive this,” he said. As Gale stopped the car to comfort Ramirez, a couple of bandits pulled up along the driver’s side. Ramirez instantly noticed them: they were Welkov’s henchmen! As one of the passengers in the other car pointed his gun in Gale’s direction, Ramirez pushed Gale to the side and took the shot in his neck.
“Do you feel it?”
“Do you feel the hatred rising within you?”
“Do you find pleasure in revenge?”
Ramirez felt three cold hands touch his face. He slowly opened his eyes to see three ghostly figures towering over him. Three devilish eyes peered down on the slightly disturbed man, who was paralyzed by death. He couldn’t move a single joint, he couldn’t feel his heart beat, and he didn’t even feel alive.
“Hate them,” hissed one.
“Haunt them,” came a sharper tone from the second.
“Kill them,” moaned the last in a more feminine voice.
Ramirez was confused. Never had death embraced him like this before. But he had a feeling in his mind that signaled to him that this escape from death would not be like the others. He felt that he would leave his temporary suspension in the afterlife with something more.
“A more durable body…”
“A sharper mind…”
“A demonic soul…”
“All this and more will be given to you,” groaned the first in his sharp British accent. Ramirez panicked as he heard the sound of tearing flesh. He thought that it was his own, but it appeared that the one in the middle was in slight pain. Though he could hardly see, he noticed that the man’s jaw was hanging slack and something ungodly was emerging from his mouth. It croaked and screeched as it forced itself out more and more. Ramirez was terrified. But despite his fear and will to escape, he still was unable to move. He felt something pry his mouth open. Even with his numbness, he was able to feel slight pain. Something was literally forcing its way down his throat. Oh my God, what is that? He thought. As the predator pushed deeper and deeper, Ramirez screamed louder and louder on the inside.
